The Method behind the Madness of MadCaps...
Established in 2012, MadCap Theatre Productions is a touring company based in North Worcestershire which brings quality, professional productions to various venues across the nation.
Focussing on classical and historically-based theatre, we produce unique, engaging and energetic theatre for contemporary audiences. Our shows use elements of music, song, dance and physicality to bring stories to life; from those written over 400 years ago to newly written, historically-set productions.
MadCap Theatre Productions' Artistic Directors, Emma Leigh and Patricia Hobday, are passionate about expanding the appeal of classical and historical theatre and make our shows fun for both audiences and actors alike!
The company also offers classical theatre workshops, community/educational outreach projects, bespoke performances and regularly provide entertainment for events. We supply a small team of actors to engage guests and perform extracts from Shakespeare's plays, or our extremely popular Murder Mystery evenings which have been performed at hotels, restaurants and historical properties to name a few!
Because of the way our shows are produced (short rehearsal time, long touring time), we find that all of our casts have a chemistry that is undeniable, we become a team, working together to bring home a fantastic performance every time we step on to stage.
We are a friendly bunch of people, and want to both encourage and develop new talent in all areas of theatre. We offer as many work experience placements as possible behind stage, and we work with actors that are both recent graduates and those with years of experience in the industry.
If you are interested in applying for a position with us, either on or off stage please email email@example.com or keep in touch with us via facebook or twitter. We also advertise casting calls on professional directories such as Casting Call Pro and Spotlight.
We create strong links with venues that we visit and hope to visit more, in more locations, with each of our productions. Feel free to contact us with any questions, and please do come to see our next production!
All of MadCap Theatre Productions' costume and set can be hired. Contact us for more information...
